INFINIUM ’26 / FLAGSHIP FINANCE & AI

FINANCIAL INSTITUTION HACKATHON

An industry-led hackathon with a leading financial institution. Design practical solutions, build a working prototype and demonstrate business value with thoughtful use of AI. The challenge will be revealed to participants at the kickoff.

Format, prizes & rules
  • Solo or teams of up to four participants (1–4 total, including the captain). Registration is open. Venue: To be announced. All times below are in IST.
  • 2 October, 4:00–5:00 PM: kickoff covering the format, rules, submission requirements and evaluation criteria. The detailed problem statement will be shared privately with participants.
  • 2 October, 5:00–9:00 PM: system design phase. Propose an architecture, data flow and system components, including appropriate AI, scalability, business value and responsible governance. The top 50 submissions will be selected overnight for the build phase.
  • 3 October, 9:00 AM–4 October, 9:00 PM: a 36-hour build phase for selected participants to implement, integrate, test and demonstrate their solutions.
  • During the build phase, industry representatives will review the top 10 initial designs and host an insight session.
  • 4 October, 9:00 PM: implementation submission deadline. Submissions will be evaluated to select 10 finalists.
  • Finalists will have several days to refine and stabilise their prototypes, architecture, evaluation and presentations. Final presentations will take place at the partner office; date and schedule: To be announced.
  • Evaluation: business impact 25%; technical quality and working demo 25%; smart use of AI 20%; governance and responsible AI 10%; presentation and storytelling 20%.
  • Prizes: winner ₹2,00,000; second place ₹1,00,000; third place ₹50,000. Three special awards of ₹25,000 each bring the total prize pool to ₹4,25,000. Special award criteria: To be announced.
  • The institution’s identity, detailed problem statement, business domain, datasets and detailed evaluation materials remain confidential until shared with participants through the event process.
  • Subject to the hackathon terms, the industry partner may review, use, adapt or further develop submitted ideas, code and designs. Participation does not guarantee adoption, deployment or commercialisation.
  • Solutions are educational prototypes and must not be represented as endorsed by, or as actual systems of, the industry partner.
